The importance of knowing God's word
In many cases, people feel that if they attend church regularly, they are getting enough word and doing enough to please God. But there is so much more to knowing who God truly is. Knowing God is more than getting up and going to church on Sunday morning, it is more than taking a few minutes to pray. We must build a relationship with God. We must be led and directed by God. To build a true relationship we have to be intentional with our time with him. We have to make time to get to know God. When we get to know more about God, we are actually learning more about ourselves. By learning outside of Sunday morning services and Bible study services we make God a priority. We show him that we are hungry and thirsty for his word. By becoming a bible scholar we are not trying to be better than anyone else, we are not showing off that we have gained credentials or certificates. But we...
